The Directorate of General Education (DGE), Kerala, has released detailed instructions for conducting the Midterm IT Examination (2025-26) in all High Schools. The exam will be held as per the directions of SCERT and implemented using KITE-developed software.
🗓️ Exam Schedule
The Midterm IT Examination for Classes 8, 9, and 10 will be conducted from October 21 to November 14, 2025.
Each school must ensure that the exam is conducted under the supervision of the Headmaster/Headmistress according to the prescribed timetable.
💻 Software Usage
The exam will be conducted using KITE-developed software on KITE GNU-Linux (Ubuntu 22.04) operating system.
The theory and practical sections will be handled through this software, ensuring uniformity across all schools.
The Robo-Lab Kit will be used for practical components wherever applicable.
🧭 Exam Format

Duration: 1 hour (combined for theory and practical).

Practical questions will be selected from the Robo-Lab-based topics included in the syllabus.

Students will attend the exam under the invigilation of appointed examiners, ensuring proper use of the prescribed software and systems.

Headmasters/Headmistresses must download and test the software in advance, using a pen drive for installation and later removal after the exam.

Passwords and exam materials should be kept strictly confidential until the exam begins.
🏫 Special Schools
Special arrangements are provided for Hearing-Impaired Schools (Special Schools).
They will also conduct the exam using the same KITE-developed software, downloaded and installed as instructed.
📊 Results Processing

After completion, schools must export the exam data using the Final Export option in the software.

All exam data should be imported to the server computer and uploaded by November 18, 2025.

A consolidated mark sheet should be prepared for verification and record-keeping.

Marks for each student must be entered carefully to ensure correctness before submission.
