Ensuring Regular School Attendance for All Students
The Directorate of General Education (DGE), Kerala, has issued an important circular emphasizing the mandatory recording of student attendance in Sampoorna Plus and ensuring that all students attend school regularly.
This directive is part of the state’s efforts to strengthen academic monitoring and to provide special attention to students from Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities studying in government schools.
🖥️ Sampoorna Plus: Attendance Recording is Mandatory
The Sampoorna Plus portal and mobile application, developed by KITE, provides facilities to:
Record daily attendance of all students
Track progress reports
Send SMS notifications to parents
Monitor students who are irregular or absent

All schools are required to use Sampoorna Plus without exception.
👩🏫 Responsibilities of Teachers and Head Teachers
Class teachers must daily record attendance of students in Sampoorna Plus.
Head Teachers must ensure accuracy and regular updating of attendance records.
Attendance of Scheduled Tribe students must be specifically monitored and recorded.
📅 Special Instructions for the Academic Year 2025–26
Attendance details for June to September 2025, including days of absence, must be updated.
From October 3, 2025 onwards, daily attendance entry is compulsory.
School Heads and Education Officers must ensure that every student attends school regularly.
